This page is in loving memory of Epiphany's Pride and Liberty. At the very young age of five months in early December 2002 Liberty became gravely ill and her health started rapidly deteriorating. After numerous trips to the vet and numerous trips to a specialist it was determined that she had a disease called Myasthenia gravis. This disease is similar to Multiple Sclerosis in humans because it attacks the body in the same way. Tests were run on her (of course) and an Internist and Neurologist both determined that this was a disease that she was born with, it was congenital. This means that there is not much chance of any of her siblings having, carrying or acquiring this disease. We had Liberty at the internist's office on January 2, 2003 and she was literally dying in Candi's lap. We both felt there was no reason to prolong her suffering anymore and decided we had no choice but to euthanize her. The vet told us that had we not made the choice we did that she would have only lived for two or three more weeks at the most. We miss Liberty terribly and will always miss her, but at least we had the fortune to have been her parents while she was alive. She will live in our hearts forever.
Liberty was NOT bred by Epiphany Mastiffs!

On the deck, but not in the bean bag. She's a little over 4 months of age here.

Trying to get away from the rain by burying her face in the bean bag. She wouldn't leave her bean bag to get out of the rain!

Liberty at 4 months of age and again in her bean bag. She had come up onto the deck earlier in the day and had fallen asleep and would not get up for anything. We had to force her to go onto the ground later that night. She is sooooo relaxed in this picture.

Almost 3 months of age here. Ever since we got her she loved to come up on the deck and get in the bean bag. Here she looks like she's smiling. What a life!
