Epiphany's Paint It Black

This is a page with information and pictures of our puppy that was born on November 20, 2007. His name is Epiphany's Paint It Black "Brian". He is very, very smart, curious, independent, extremely loving, sweet and very eager to please! When people meet him they always comment on how sweet he is and how well behaved he is for a puppy! He was the only puppy in his litter and he is staying here at Epiphany Mastiffs forever!

Brian was named after the Rolling Stones song called "Paint It Black" for obvious reasons that can be seen below, and his call name is after the guitar player Brian Jones who was in the Rolling Stones at the time of the song coming out.

Brian is from a breeding we did between Lionhearted Man In Black "JC" and our girl Woodmark Epiphany World Shaker "Edie". We were trying to add the dark brindle coloring into our lines when we did this breeding, and we got it by breeding to JC!! Thank you to Gloria Davis of Lionhearted Mastiffs for helping make this breeding possible!

DOB: 11/20/2007

Looking A LOT like his great-great grand-father Lionhearted Prince Lucifer "Prince" walking towards the camera!! Brian is one week from turning six months here and below.
The "Oh so innocent" look...
"I didn't dig here! I don't know how this dirt got like this or got on my feet, or how this little twig that's hanging out of my mouth got there!"
Standing in the yard watching the chickens on the other side of the fence. Brian is five months here and below.
Nice candid of Brian sitting in the yard with the sun shining on his face. Such a serious faced puppy!
Sad faced puppy! Or is it serious face, or sleepy face??
Doing a pretty good job of stacking himself here!! WOW... What a front and bone!! Brian is nineteen weeks here and below.
Caught with a little part of a stick hanging out of his mouth! The rest of the stick can be seen between his front paws, laying across his left arm. The expression on his face is kind of like "What?? I can't lay around in the yard and chew on sticks??"
Hanging out in the yard. He is such a regal and beautiful boy!! His stripes can be seen very well in these pictures. Brian is eighteen weeks here and below.
AWWWW!!! LOVE his facial expressions!!
Just chillin' on the porch.
Trying to take a nap, but he's SO adorable that there had to be pictures taken.
Video of Brian playing with our girl Epiphany Yuletide Treasure "Holly". She was VERY gentle with him and even took the flattened Jolly ball to him to get him to play some more after they played together on the ground. Brian's mommy Edie watched them play off to the side and never made any efforts to interfere. Brian is fifteen weeks and Holly is fifteen months.
BUSTED!! It's obvious where he had just had his face... in the sand!! Such a beautiful boy with such a dirty nose and dirty face!! Brian is fifteen weeks here and below.
SO innocent!! Laying with the toy that we have that simulates and looks like it's breathing. He has grown A LOT since the last time we took a picture of him at 18 days with this toy when they were very much the same size!!
Trying to get the toy and stacking at the same time. Not perfect but he's trying! He's got his front feet almost perfect. His chest and topline look AWESOME!! Now he just needs to learn to put the back feet in the right spots.
Practicing to be a show dog. Again, not perfect... but he's trying!
Sitting by the concrete Bulldog in the yard. My how he's grown since the last time we took a picture of him at 7 weeks beside the Bulldog!!
"Who me??" He had not done anything wrong, but he sure did have a guilty look on his face! Maybe that was the "Not the camera again" look!
Video of Brian playing in a brief snow shower we got on February 27, 2008! The other dogs didn't seem to care or notice the snow, but Brian did and he seemed to enjoy it! He seemed confused by the sound of the wind too! No, that's not hail falling from the sky... it was snow! It did not stick but it sure was fun to watch while it lasted.
Standing in the yard after the snow shower. The lens had gotten some snowflakes on it and that's why the picture is blurry at the bottom. Brian is fourteen weeks here and below.
Video of Brian at fourteen weeks playing with the fuzzy toy that he LOVES so much!
BUSTED!! With the "What leaf?? I don't know what you're talking about" look on his face. Brian is fourteen weeks here and below.
SO innocent and SO sweet... can't you tell??
Stacked and practicing to be a show dog. Not perfect... but he's trying to learn how to do it.
Now that's a relaxed puppy!! Fast asleep in a pile of toys!
Brian on the slide that Nicole loves to get on. He got up onto it all by himself and then got down safely. Brian is twelve weeks here and below. Nicole is eight 1/2 months.
Video of Brian at twelve weeks on the slide in the yard.
"MINE!!" King of the slide after Nicole got bored and left on her own.
Such a beautiful boy with a dirty nose and dirty feet!!
Having fun with a toy! He's actually sucking on the toy here, not biting or chewing on it!
Falling asleep with the toy in his mouth!!
Waiting patiently by the door for somebody to let him in. He has such huge feet!! They're still black on the bottom side and will always be black. It looks like he has "gorilla" feet in person and when his feet are clean. Brian is ten weeks here and below.
Walking towards the camera. Such a nice wide front!!
A candid of Brian standing in the yard. Not sure what he was thinking, but it was an intense thought or observation!
Crashed out on the doggie bed. We just had to take a picture of this silly position he was sleeping in!
Such a stoic and regal puppy!! The bottoms of his feet are dirty here so it looks like the bottoms of his feet are not black... but he has black "gorilla" feet.
Another silly sleeping position picture!
He has absolutely no trouble keeping himself occupied and relaxed at the same time! Laid back?? Or is it lazy??
Such a cute, cute adorable face!!! Brian is nine weeks here and below.
Crashed out on the doggie bed after being outside. He came in and had a speck of dirt right between his eyes, but he was so cute laying like this that we took the picture first and then cleaned him up.
After being cleaned up and surrounded by toys.
Content and VERY happy puppy!
Getting one of the Wubba toys!
Brian's first snow!! These pictures were taken on January 17, 2008 when we had our first snow of the winter season. Brian is eight and a half weeks here and below.
Checking the snow out.
Holly checking Brian out in the snow.
The next five pictures were taken on January 12, 2008 when Wyatt made a visit to see us and meet Brian. Brian must have thought nobody could see him under the stairs. Brian is seven and a half weeks here and below.
Peek a boo!! Still convinced that nobody can see him... Chris did and he got these pictures of Brian in his "secret hideaway".
Falling asleep and obviously very comfy.
Then he gets up to follow Wyatt around. Wyatt is from our litter of thirteen we had in May 2007 and is almost eight months here.
Just observing the others in the yard.
"Are you looking at me??" Cutting his eyes at us and looking oh so cute.
SUCH A CUTE FACE!!!
Dirty nose after digging and playing in the front yard.
Just hanging out.
Laying in a hole that the big dogs have dug and watching what's going on.
He thinks nobody can see him as he's laying in the hole.
Video of Brian at seven weeks exploring and running around in the yard. Click here to see many more pictures and videos of Brian after viewing the ones above!
